　「あーあ、一度でいいから雪祭りへ行って見たい！！」
　
旅なれた友達が、「え？行きたいの？一緒に行ってあげようか？」
「え？ほんと？」あれよあれよというまにツアーに申し込んでくれました

　　

　雪まつりは、1950年に、地元の中・高校生が6つの雪像を大通公園に設置したことを きっかけに始まりました。雪合戦、雪像展、カーニバル等を合わせて開催、5万人あまりの人出で予想以上の大人気でした。以後、札幌の冬の行事として市民に定着していくことになります。・・・・・・1965年、第二会場として真駒内会場を正式に設置。1972年には、冬季オリンピックが札幌で開催、「ようこそ札幌へ」のテーマで雪まつりは世界に知られるようになります。

　昨日、ロシアのスカイプ友達とのやり取りです。

　　今ー30℃雪におおわれて過ごすロシアの人でさえ、
　　４０年も前の日本の映像を覚えているんですね。
　　やはり、オリンピックの力は大きいんだナァ
