　先日娘の結婚式があり、フォトアルバムにたくさんの写真をやっと整理し、
　カナダの友達にもサイトアドレスを送ってみてもらいました。

　そして、早速メールをもらいました。

You look amazing in the kimono.
I looked at the photos many times.
I especially like the photo of your son playing guitar and singing. Wish I could hear him. He looks so happy and comfortable playing and singing.

What a wonderful family you have.
I was surprised to see knives, forks, and spoons on the table. I expected to see chop sticks. Must be a very western dinner. Ha ha ha.

　そうですね。外国の方はもっと日本独特の結婚式を見てみたいだろうと思います。
服装も料理もvery very westernで日本人としてもちょっとさびしい気もしますね。

それにしても、こうやって英語でもらったメールを読んで楽しめるのはうれしいことです。
時々中学生や高校生が「英語を勉強してなんの役に立つの？」といいますが、
ほら、こんなに楽しい！若い人たちならもっともっと世界が広がるはず
基本の基本は中学一年生ではじめて習ったあいさつです！
